A Walk in the Park and a Big Drainage Area

One of our favorite walks leads to this drainage area (at least that's what I think it is). We just recently walked far enough on the trail to discover it. Is that weird that I want to hire Natalie and take family photos here? I'll have to let that thought simmer for a little while.

Me and General Hud. Just look at that little contented smile. I think he loves me.

Austin

Austin is a beautiful city with fun things to see and do.

But admittedly, we go there for the food. This nursing mama is in love with food.
24 Diner was a new stop for us. It was delicious diner food with an Austin flare (i.e. my burger had goat cheese and arugula on it). We also hit up some favorite food trailers (Gourdoughs and a new taco one).

Botanical Gardens

With a new baby there is a lot of staying in, and I needed to get outside. We've had perfect weather around here, so we decided to go spend an afternoon at the Botanical Gardens. I've been wanting to see the Amazing Butterfly exhibit, so I made us go.
{Me and my lovies}
I know we're a little late to the game, but I think we're addicted to this instagram thing. I love the effects you can play with.

Christmas

It was wonderful to have family around for Christmas. There was a lot of eating, playing, and Christmas shopping. The baby and I just took it easy and allowed everyone else to take care of us and keep Preston and Eliza entertained.
One of our favorite eating spots...the Guenther House.
Fondue dinner...a Wille family tradition.
Hanging out at the hotel.

(These balloon guys were pretty much amazing)

Opening gifts.

Christmas night we went downtown to see the lights on the river.

Hudson meets the Debenhams

These guys risked their lives and their stomachs to get down here. Now that is true love. We were happy they made it safe. They came to celebrate the new baby and Christmas.
Mom came a week early and helped out. She's a life saver.
