Aaaah!!! I have not been able to keep up with the messes this week. And I'm telling you there have been some elaborate ones. But I'm learning that it is okay. I'm not going to have little kid messes forever. Eventhough it may always appear to be a mess to me, I am learning that there is usually a method to their madness. I love finding the stuff that Preston rigs together. Or the random stashes of toys in hidden corners. What was going on in their little minds??
Something they rigged together.
My favorite...Preston scratching Eliza's back before nap time.

Pretty much anything we grew on our garden this year was a dwarf version of what it should have been. Yes, that is a watermelon and what should be normal sized tomatoes, a pepper, and some teeny tiny jalapenos. Well...I'm learning. Better luck next year.

I love your little melons and peppers...I bet they taste good..
And send Preston here for a back rub/scratch before I go to bed please!
I couldn't help but laugh at the veggies from your garden... I am very impressed though that you even have a garden!! Great JOB!! Your kids are so cute... and it's so true the messes won't be around forever. When President Monson was talking about that in conference I started crying... I thought before you know it all my kids will be gone...:) ha ha Good thing Ryan is only 18 months...I still have a lot of years left!!!

ahh I feel like this is my life, too! and I only have one. I'm sad to know it only gets worse! And good for you for starting a garden. I haven't done that before and want to do it next year!!
They are so imaginative at that age! I find similar things rigged at my house and toys tied in the blind cords, all kinds of fun stuff! Oh, and note to self and others...couches and loveseats with tons of pillows.....never a good idea! My house is never clean when anybody "stops by" because the pillows are NEVER on the couches....they are always being used to build forts or whatever, no matter what I do! :)
I wish I was as creative with entertaining myself as your kids are! They are so cute.
