Since Tad and I had a thing for the medieval club at BYU we decided we needed to experience the Renaissance Festival here in Texas. Apparantly those people who live, breathe, eat, and sleep medieval/fantasy do have an outlet after college. This place was crazy and a fun experience. It was more medieval to me than renaissance and I was reminded why it was called the Dark Ages. We were warned to not stay after dark and I can only imagine with some of the wild stuff we saw midday. We went with some friends who recently moved to the Houston area and had a good time.

A little jousting

Some medieval games

Oh, and don't think we didn't ride an elephant!

Our friends on an elephant

I was wishing we dressed up. I saw some amazing costumes. About half the people there were in costume, and some of them really get into this. Like this girl...

Or these people...

And this boy...

Krissy...this kid one upped you. You've got a new challenge. He could also put both legs over his head and stand on his hands.

Ha! An elephant...yikes!
So one of my friends is really into this stuff....her whole wedding was Medieval themed and she is SO proud of it. Hilarious to me.
Did you feel like you were in A Knights Tale?
I still think it is funny that "your friends" are my in-laws!
This is awesome. How funny that they have a whole Medieval fair. I loved watching those quill and sword club people at BYU.
Thats hilarious!! i'm gonna go stretch right now. Watch out kid!
How fun! Looks like a blast. i don't remember you being into the medeival thing in college though. Must have missed that.
Olivia can do this - she is very flexible, especially considering how chubby she is and I used to be able to do both legs behind my head but now can only do one sadly enough.
