We embarked on our journey to San Antonio from Grandma Wanda's house in Washington, UT. On board were my mom and dad, Krissy, Trevor, myself, Preston and Eliza. The first night we spent in Albuqurque.
The second day was spent driving through New Mexico. We drove through places such as Vaughn and Roswell. Roswell is the alien and UFO capital. I didn't get my camera out in time to catch all the good stuff (UFO shaped McDonalds, aliens and UFOs painted on the Wal-Mart, etc.), but notice the alien shaped lamp post in the picture above. My favorite billboard was an advertisement for diamonds. There was a large UFO shaped diamond and next to it was written:

Our second day we spent the night at Carlsbad, NM so we could take the time to see the Carlsbad Caverns. They were amazing! I felt like I was in some sort of fantasy land and kept waiting for a dragon or fairy to round the corner while wandering the caves.
On the 3rd day we reached our final destination....Rudy's Bar-B-Qu. Need I say more?

Hey, nice new wheels! There's nothing quite like the Texas/Utah road trip, I can't even count the number of times I've done it now. Glad you had fun, and survived that LONG New Mexico/West Texas stretch. : ) See you Friday!
