Mom and Dad in Town

Woohoo!! My parents got to come spend a week with us. We had a great time getting out and exploring. The kids loved getting spoiled by their grandparents. I'm pretty sure they ate ice cream every day.

Mom and dad love to get a taste for the local flavor when they travel. Here it means discovering new barbecue everytime they come down. I had been hearing about Texas Pride on the east side and finally went to check it out. It didn't disappoint. Their brisket was awesome! I love that it was in an old gas station. It had a lot of character.

We explored a new little town, Gruene. I fell in love with the Gruene General Store pictured above where I found some great items featured below. They had quite the ecclectic collection of retail. I could've spent hours exploring in there and the antique shop across the street. Too bad kids don't allow for long shopping trips. Earlier in the day we hit the San Marcos outlets. Eliza single handedly knocked down an entire clothes rack.

Dig the hat. Dig the glasses more! So fun to have your parents in town. I'm glad you had fun on Halloween for your kids. It must have been year of the witches. My girls were witches too.
